Marbling 2.0 : New Combs, New Patterns!
The long awaited Marbling 2.0 class returns! I'll be sharing some of the patterns, tips and techniques I learned during my studies with The Chena River Marblers.
Unlike my Intro to Marbling class, which is about creative exploration and play, the focus in this class will be on learning new skills and replicating specific patterns. I will demonstrate a range of new techniques that incorporate a variety of combs , which when used in a particular order produce wonderful contemporary classic patterns. Students will work in their own tray and practice recreating the pattern following each new pattern demonstration. Students will leave with 8-10 archival prints.
This class is fast paced, previous marbling experience is recommended.

I had the pleasure of doing a marbling workshop with Mercedez in Santa Fe, NM as she was traveling through and it was such a fun experience! She is an easy going and light hearted person, so everyone in the room instantly felt relaxed and able to experiment creatively. There was ample time to explore and test out marbling techniques before we made our final prints so I ended up with some cool pieces that I used for gift wrapping as well as a beautiful silk neck scarf. I look forward to taking more workshops with her when I can.
